Mere minutes after the incident, one of our reporters was at the scene of a ground breaking development in the Makoto-the-神童 story.

Our sources tell us Makoto, sporting a shirt with a big, green* frog on it, pointed to the frog when asked, 「カエルさんはどこ？」. In a further display of 神童ness, he did the same when asked in English, “Where is the frog?”

In an exclusive interview with mommy, the pointing was confirmed. However, it is uncertain if he would respond to the ancient way of saying frog in Japanese, 「かわず」. Stay tuned for more in-depth coverage of this developing story.
